Debbie just minutes after Hannah was born. Thank God
for safe travels and a quick and easy delivery. |
A cow moose in Alaska. This is not the one I ran into
while jogging. I was too scared to take a picture that time. |
Another picture of the cow moose. |
Daddy, Joseph, and Samuel in the church in Casper, Wyoming. |
Joseph at the Casper, Wyoming dinosaur museum. |
Emu at Deer Lodge, Montana. |
Another emu shot. |
Just look at that face. Could you believe she would
eat a frog? I thought so! |
The kids still talk about Grandpa and Grandma. They'll
probably live to be 400 with all the prayers they get to live long. |
Joseph hard at work practicing the piano. We're
homeschooling him in math, English, geography, music and science. |
Joseph riding a horse in Green Bluff, Washington. |
Soaking in the Saratoga, WY hotspring. We're sitting
in the water where the hotspring flows into the river. It was as
warm as a hot tub even though the air and river were cold. |
Packing luggage and kids back to Japan. We changed
planes in San Diego, but some of our checked bags went on to Mexico! |
Mercedes Dormaier became one of our kids' favorite
"grandmas." Her "leather britches" are
delicious. If you're ever in Hartline, WA, you'll have to stop by
and try some. |
Joseph milking a goat in Thermopolis, Wyoming. |
Mule deer in Newcastle, WY. They were beautiful, but
if I hadn't been watching them when jogging, I could have saved myself a
sprained ankle and a lot of pain. |
The kids in one of the many parks we visited while
traveling. This photo was taken in Spokane, Washington. |
Another park picture. This is Joseph on the winding
slide. We've never seen parks like this in Japan. |
A park in American Falls, Idaho. The park was just
across the street from the church where we stayed several nights.
There was a public library across the street, which also blessed us. |
Praise God for our Plymouth Grand Voyager. After
traveling several thousand miles in a Honda Civic, this was a welcome
change. |
Here's Debbie just a few days before Hannah was born.
What a trouper. She didn't miss one service before or after the baby
came. |
We all got to visit Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota for the
first time. |
Joseph with his teacher, Mrs. Muchiko Zaike on the first day
of school. |
Joseph on his way to school for the first time. The
kids only had to wear a suit the first day because of the entrance
ceremony. After that, they were expected to wear more comfortable
clothes. |
One of the teachers pinning on Joseph's name tag. |
Practicing for the school sports festival. |
The kids did a "ninja" relay at the sports
festival. Can you find Joseph? |
The kids saw sheep for the first time in Buhl, Idaho. |
We stopped to get this picture on our drive through the
Grand Tetons. We were on our way from Idaho Falls, Idaho to Dubois,
Wyoming. |
I went jogging one morning in Saratoga, Wyoming and noticed
this house all decorated with tinsel. I had to take a closer look
before I discovered that it was ice. Can you believe it was the
middle of June! |
Here's another "tinsel" photo. |
This young woman recently made the decision to accept the
Lord. When we first met her, she was demon-possessed. She is
still suffering from years of abuse. |
